Born in1960 in Leningrad, Russia.
Education:
1982 Graduated from Baron Shtiglits Art School;
1985 - One of the organizers of the artists group ‘Mitki’. He works in the direction of painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, book illustrator; 1992 Author of the animation “Mitkimayer’; 2001 ‘Russian Albom’; 2004 - in cooperation with O.Florenskaia shoot “Captured Movies’; in 2004 together with I.Sotnikov created ‘Painting lovers Society’; From 1994 up today in cooperation with Olga Florenskaia works on big scaled projects as: ‘Moving Aside’; ‘Russian Patent’; ‘Local Time’;’ Moving Bestiarii’, ‘Russian Trophy’; ‘Vilgelm Vinters ’ Universal Museum’ and etc. 2008 in cooperation with the printmaker Dmitri Bugaenko created ‘B&F’ handmade print studio. Works of Alexsander Florenski are kept in the collections of National Russian Museum Ermitaj, Tretiakov Gallery and National Museum by Pushkin/Moscow/, National Center of Contemporary Art/Moscow and in many other museums of Russia, also in KIASMA & CITY ART MUSEUM /Helsinki/, in the Museum VICTORIA & ALBERT /London. The artist lives and works in Sankt Petersburg, Tbilisi and Batumi.
